West Germany Ceramics

West Germany Ceramics is a collective name for ceramics made by various manufacturers in West Germany between 1950 - 1990. These are not only vases, but also other objects.

A West Germany object can be recognized by the 'signature' on the bottom of the object. On the bottom of the object it says 'West Germany', 'W. Germany' or 'West-Germany' depending on the manufacturer. In addition, there are a number of numbers: the first number stands for the model, the last number indicates the length in centimeters.

There are several manufacturers that are still very popular such as: Jasba, Jopeko, Ruscha, U-keramiek and Roth. The two largest are Scheurich and Bay.
