What is Ephemera?

"Ephemera is generally defined as collectible memorabilia that was intended to be used for a short period of time. Think show tickets, ticket stubs, playing cards, postcards, and more. Ephemera is almost always paper-based and is often written or printed items that were expected to be popular or useful in the short term. Ephemera is not normally thought of as something to collect, keep, cherish, or preserve. But often we save and cherish ephemeral items - especially vintage items and we often place them in scrapbook pages.
